low powered, low bandwidth, scalable and cost-effective Internet of Things (IoT) based health monitoring model is proposed in this research. The proposed model is emulated using Packet Tracer version 7.1. The proposed model is based on detailed diagnosis report of the critical patients that is to be shared virtually with specialized doctors located in urban areas. The detailed diagnosis data of the patient is monitored and collected by the combination of body sensor feedbacks using multiple protocols (Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee and 6LoWPAN). The collected data from the WBAN and the clustered configuration of allocated health monitoring nodes reach the central database allocated in medical centers of urban areas. After preliminary processing of raw data, the physicians can check the patient report, keep track of the observation and can prescribe medicines. The proposed model also estimates the number of patients that can be accommodated for each Zigbee, Bluetooth and 6LoWPAN.
